Construction output in the currency bloc fell by one percent in November, seasonally adjusted, compared to the previous month, following a 0.6 percent decline in October. In the entire EU, the decline in construction production in November was one percent, while in October production fell by 0.4 percent.
In a year-on-year comparison, production in the construction sector decreased by 2.2 percent in November in the eurozone. The decline thus more than tripled. In the entire EU, construction production fell by 2.1 percent year-on-year.
Of the individual states of the European Union whose data are available, the Czech Republic, Germany and Hungary recorded the most significant month-on-month decline in construction production. On the contrary, the highest production growth was achieved by Romania, Slovakia, Belgium and Spain.
