Construction will begin in March
"At the end of the year, we negotiated the contractual conditions and concluded a contract with the winner of the tender," says Ing. Zoltán Müller, Chairman of the Board of Vydrica Development.
It follows that construction work on the first stage of the project should begin on March 1, 2022 and end in 2024. Construction will begin with the construction of reinforced concrete load-bearing structures.
"Vydrica is not only an architectural but also a technologically exceptional work and it is therefore a great challenge for us to participate in its implementation. We are also pleased with the trust of the investor who bet on our years-proven brand, "said Ing. Marek Ščury, director of the BA area and procurator of the STRABAG company Pozemné a inžinierske staviteľstvo s.r.o ..

"The authors of the project base their designs on traditional materials such as stone and brick, which are used on sidewalks, facades and public spaces," explains Juraj Rehák, Member of the Supervisory Board of Vydrica Development. In addition to the apartments, there will also be 2,360 m2 of office space and 3,900 m2 of retail space in the buildings.

Vydrica building
"The Vydrica project is extremely exposed and we are aware that in a few years it will be visible on almost every postcard in Bratislava," recalls Zoltán Müller and adds: the historic dusthouse building. "
A separate project is the restoration of the oldest standing monument in the capital - the Water Tower. In December last year, in cooperation with the Bratislava Metropolitan Institute, the Bratislava - Staré Mesto district, experts from the Regional Monuments Office and the Municipal Institute of Monument Protection, an architectural competition was announced for this national cultural monument, to which top architectural studios from Slovakia and Czech Republic.
The result of the competition is to be a meaningful integration of the Water Tower area, which is a city property, into a new city-building structure and the creation of an attractive place with a socio-cultural function. It will also include an accessible archeological site.
