Bratislava has been experiencing a construction boom of new administrative buildings in recent years. The area of modern office space has increased by a quarter in 10 years, and even by almost 60% since 2008. Even under the influence of the pandemic, the requirements of companies for offices are different today than they used to be.

What differentiates them from the competition? What changes in demand, supply and changes in client behavior did they notice in comparison to the pre-pandemic situation and the situation today?
As part of its value-creating growth strategy with a focus on high-return properties, Immofinanz is acquiring 53 retail properties in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary from its majority shareholder CPI Property Group (CPIPG). The acquired portfolio has roughly 217,000 sqm of rentable space and is fully let with an occupancy rate of 99%. The purchase price totals €324.2 million. The purchase contract was signed today, together with the closing for 36 retail properties in the Czech Republic and Poland which have 108,000 sqm of rentable space. The purchase price of €191 million for those properties was financed from existing funds. The closing for the remaining 17 properties in Hungary and Slovakia is expected to take place by the end of this year.
According to the Council for Tall Buildings and the Urban Environment (CTBUH), Bratislava will become the 201st city in the world with a skyscraper, i.e. a building with a height of at least 150 meters
In August, the company Penta Real Estate became the owner of a plot of land in the Bratislava - Nové Mesto district. The land with an area of almost 4.5 hectares, bordered by Vajnorská and Odborárska streets, was acquired as part of the bankruptcy proceedings from the bankrupt - the company Fiscal Services Internatiol, s.r.o.
The global ranking of world innovators in the REIO real estate business was compiled for the seventh time by the consulting company KPMG. Four Czech and one Slovak company also appeared among 783 innovative solutions from 45 countries.
The development in the area of the former Východoslovak printing house in the center of Košice, where a modern urban quarter is to grow, will be determined by the cooperation of Czech and Slovak architects. On the land with an area of 30,000 square meters, it is planned to build a mainly residential function with an additional share of commercial areas and services.
