At the beginning of December, a year had passed since the gates of the restored national cultural monument Pradiareň 1900 reopened and welcomed the first tenants. At the recent ground-breaking ceremony for the Nesto project, we unveiled our plan to run an architectural and urban design competition. Today we are releasing further details about the terms of the competition and the participating studios. Situated on a roughly 47-hectare site close to the Austrian border, the Nesto project will offer all the functions of a full-fledged city neighbourhood: housing, amenities and facilities for work, education, sports, and leisure. The decision on what the northern part of the site will look like in the future will be up to an established European studio. The results of the competition should be known next spring.

The state, regional self-government, the National Cultural and Congress Center (OZ NKKC) civic association and three developers - finalists - Immocap, Incheba and J&T Real Estate (JTRE) and the professional public agree on its importance for the development of congress tourism in Slovakia.
