Slovakia’s investment volume to increase in 2021

Total investments in commercial real estate in Slovakia in the first half of 2021 reached €478 million, which almost equaled the volume of investments for the entire previous year. According to preliminary data, the total volume of commercial real estate transactions in Slovakia reached €478 million in the first half of 2021, thanks to eight closed transactions, which represents an increase of almost 6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

IBM moving to Nové Apollo

The identity of the IT giant that is moving into the Nové Apollo office complex in Bratislava has been revealed to be IBM.

The Klingerka will bring a large modern park with a playground to Ružinov in Bratislava

Along with the completion of the administrative building and the unveiling of the facade of the new tallest residential tower in Slovakia, the Klingerka project will also create a city park. The new park on the borders of the Ružinov and Staré Mesto districts will extend from the car park by the residential tower to the development of family houses. It will offer residents and visitors near the Apollo Bridge a public space and a place to relax and sports.

The Interpolis Office Center will open in Banská Bystrica in the autumn

Project manager Michal Filip stated that the construction can compete with buildings in Bratislava or Košice. He drew attention to the fact that after studying in Banská Bystrica, many promising young people go to work in larger cities. Therefore, the developer Interpolis decided to build a modern office building that will provide space for companies interested in using the potential of the regional city. The building stands on Partizánská cesta and is from the workshop of Paulína Hovorek's Architects in Banská Bystrica. Construction on the site of the former Coimex building began in 2019, with the complex scheduled to open in autumn 2021.

Top smart office complexes are turning into attractive urban locations

It doesn't matter if they have "only" half a million inhabitants like Bratislava or more than eight million like the megapolis of New York on the east coast of the USA. It is in them that the long-term burden on the environment and its consequences for the human body manifest itself. Intelligent buildings are a technical, digital and architectural answer to the described current state.

This week, as an investor, Penta Real Estate submitted documentation for an environmental impact assessment (EIA) for a project with the working title Polyfunctional Ensemble Medze, which will be built in the Bratislava - Dúbravka district. At the same time, it prepares documents for obtaining a zoning decision. The start of construction work is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.

Billion investment in renewal

In Slovakia, we are faced with the challenge of redefining the approach to building renovation, experts in this area agreed at an event organized by the Buildings for the Future platform. The motivation should be significant funds that will be invested in the next 7 to 9 years in the renovation or construction of buildings in addition to standard Eurofunds, more than two billion euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan. A new look at building renovations should take into account the complex aspects of building function.
