A pandemic is forcing us to work from home, many workplaces have been empty for almost a year. And although the home office may be comfortable, because we can solve everything remotely, personal contact with colleagues is still lacking. The hybrid office can solve this problem, but also the dilemma of companies that no longer want to pay for empty spaces.
A new developer entered Bratislava from the Czech Republic - and straight into one of the significant projects in the new city center, Portum. The company TopEstates has several interesting realizations in Prague and Brno, and its managing partners, Dušan Dvořák and Petr Teplý, do not hide their ambitions with their first debut in Bratislava.
The "Best Upcoming in Development" award was given by the jury of the CIJ Awards Slovakia modern district, which is growing on the site of a former industrial zone on the Danube embankment. Already the 16th year of the longest awarded real estate awards in Slovakia in 20 categories presented up to 77 nominated best projects, companies and teams operating on the real estate market. A jury of twelve renowned experts in the real estate, investment, architectural and construction industries selected the winners in a two-stage vote. Readers of CIJ EUROPE magazine, which announces the awards, were also involved in the voting.
The expansion of the Lakeside Park 02 office project began to grow at a relatively unfortunate time, when the pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19 was already in full swing and the office projects got into a difficult situation. Nevertheless, the developer Immocap and the owner of the Wood & Company building are successfully progressing with the construction and announcing that they are also successful in renting the premises.
Twin City Tower, an office building in Bratislava developed by HB Reavis and sold to a South Korean investor in 2019, has been awarded a WELL Core & Shell Certification at the Gold level and it’s the third-largest building in Europe to reach the standard.
The Lakeside Park 02 office building, which is currently still under construction, will become the headquarter of Plzeňský Prazdroj Slovensko. They also decided on above-standard solutions in connection with measures related to Covid-19. Immocap and WOOD & Company have signed a contract with Plzeňský Prazdroj Slovensko, the future tenant of office space in the new Lakeside Park 02 office building, which is growing near Bratislava's Kuchajda Lake. In addition to the developing location and excellent accessibility of the project, the flexibility and adaptation of the premises, which reflects the changing world of work, also decided.
